A recent agreement between the province of Khammoune in Laos and Quang Binh in central Vietnam aims to deepen their friendship and mutual collaboration.
Representatives from the two parties discussed and decided on cooperation focuses for 2023 during their discussions on November 25.
As a result, Party committees, authorities, and border management forces in the Vietnamese and Lao localities will continue to work closely together to inform their populations about the laws, procedures, and agreements governing the management of the border between Vietnam and Laos; to foster favorable conditions for their citizens and businesses to improve trade connections and cultural exchange; and to support socioeconomic development in both localities.
Regulations for the exchange of pertinent information will be developed by their liaison offices for preventing and controlling transnational drug trafficking and crimes.
In order to create a twinning link between the Langkhang village cluster in Khammoune’s Bualapha district and the Dan Hoa commune in Quang Binh’s Minh Hoa district, the two sides will direct pertinent sectors and agencies to coordinate.
