The Deputy Chief of Indonesia’s Football Association (PSSI), Ratu Tisha Destria, responded to the mounting protests by stating that the association is solely focused on preparing Indonesia’s national U-20 football team for the event. She clarified that the local committee, chaired by PSSI Chief Erick Thohir, is responsible for the preparation of Indonesia as the event host.

Although Tisha's side has no authority to oppose the presence of Israel’s national football team, they have assured coordination with the government regarding the arrival of FIFA U-20 World Cup participants.

Indonesia is set to host the FIFA U-20 World Cup from May 20 to June 11, but the controversy surrounding Israel's participation in the event has created tension among pro-Palestinian activists in the country.

This protest highlights the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine and has sparked a debate regarding the involvement of Israel's national football team in international events. The situation is sensitive, and any decision made could have significant implications for the country and its relations with other nations.

The Indonesian government will need to balance its obligation as the host nation with its commitment to promoting human rights and international relations. It remains to be seen how this situation will be resolved, and whether Israel's national football team will participate in the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
