
Olli Rehn Secures Centre Party Nomination for Presidential Candidacy

He states that the campaign is just beginning and that the Finnish people have four months to compare candidates and get to know him. He emphasized the importance of a president having a strong sense of the Finnish psyche, which he claims to possess.
Rehn is clear about his joint candidacy with the Centre Party and the Electoral Association. From the beginning, he was ready to be the candidate of the Centre Party and hoped for their support. He stated that the campaign will be conducted together with the Electoral Association and the Centre Party.
Rehn’s Vision for Finland
Rehn stated that the most important task for the next president is foreign policy and successfully bringing Finland into NATO, while maintaining national defense capability.
