The Nigeria Police has given voters in Bayelsa State reassurance of their safety before, during, and after the house of assembly elections, dispelling any rumors of security breaches.
CP Mohammed Dankwara, the commissioner of police for Bayelsa State election, made the assurance during the deployment of police officers and personnel to their designated locations, stressing that the command was working with other security and paramilitary agencies to ensure a peaceful exercise.
CP Dankwara encouraged the residents of the state to participate in the election without any fear.
