Israeli Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu’s conservative Likud party announced on Friday that it had signed its first coalition agreement with the far-right Jewish Power party.
The Likud and Otzma Yehudit released a joint statement on Friday morning announcing that they had reached an agreement cementing the place of Itamar Ben-Gvir’s party in the new government.
Ben-Gvir @itamarbengvir will serve as National Security Minister, an expanded version of the Public Security Ministry, with jurisdiction over the Real Estate Enforcement Division and the Judea and Samaria Border Police.
Otzma Yehudit will also serve as Deputy Economy Minister, Chairman of the Internal Security Committee, and Chairman of the Israel Fund Committee on a rotating basis.
