NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is set to visit the White House on Monday to discuss the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius, scheduled for July, as announced by Karine Jean-Pierre, spokesperson for US President Joe Biden. Jean-Pierre further revealed that the leaders will also engage in talks regarding support for Ukraine in its efforts to fend off the Russian invasion.

"President Biden and Secretary General Stoltenberg will discuss summit preparations, including efforts to further enhance deterrence and defense, building upon the defense investment pledges made during the Wales Summit in 2014," stated Jean-Pierre during a press briefing.

She added that the two leaders will also address NATO's support for Ukraine. Stoltenberg's visit will mark the third European leader's visit to the White House within a week.

The meeting between President Biden and Secretary General Stoltenberg holds significant importance as it signifies the commitment of the United States and NATO to reinforce the collective defense and resilience of the alliance. The discussions will revolve around strategies to strengthen NATO's military capabilities, promote burden-sharing among member countries, and ensure the readiness of the alliance to respond to emerging security challenges.
