The Minister of Defense pointed out that climate change “makes natural resources the target of fights”, and in this sense he assured that “countries that want to defend what is theirs must aspire to have Armed Forces”.

Leading the closing of the cycle of conferences of the Center of Strategic Studies for Defense (Ceepade) “Manuel Belgrano” Taiana said that “climate change is a change of magnitude that no one knows how much it affects him”.

“It makes natural wealth take on a very relevant dimension and become the target of fights, competitions and the search for influence,” the minister stressed and warned that “this general picture does not seem to be resolved in the short term or peacefully.”

“In Argentina we have resources that require national defense in conditions to guarantee the integrity of the population, the sovereignty of its society, the freedom of its members and the possibility of living with justice and possibilities of development,” he said.
