The Mothers of Plaza de Mayo called for participation in its traditional Thursday march to pay tribute to the memory and legacy of its president since 1979, Hebe de Bonafini, who died last Sunday at the age of 93.
Social, trade union and human rights organizations confirmed their presence, as well as political leaders from different areas, confirmed their presence at this ceremony, which will take place at the 2328th march to the May Pyramid.
Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, Minister of the Interior, Tristán Bauer, Minister of Culture, and Andrés Larroque, head of the Community Development Department of the Province of Buenos Aires, confirmed their presence at the event.
“Let there be no one left at home, let them all come to cover the square,” the organizers asked in the call for the tribute, which will have the slogan “Love with love is paid with love”.
Bonafini, in a video that the association published on its social networks last Sunday, had expressed that: “The day I die, you don’t have to cry, you have to dance, you have to sing, have a party in the square because I did what I wanted and I said what I wanted”.
