Gbadebo Vivour-Rhodes, the Labour Party candidate for Lagos gubernatorial election, has raised concerns about the intimidation of his supporters across the state.
He cast his vote on Saturday morning and spoke to journalists, criticizing the electoral process for its failure to commence voting in some places and for preventing some individuals from participating.
Vivour-Rhodes urged his supporters not to be intimidated by political thugs who may seek to disrupt the peaceful process of the election. He also alleged that INEC is deliberately using the unpaid allowances of ad-hoc personnel to rig the election.
Vivour-Rhodes will compete against the incumbent Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressive Congress and Abdul-Azeez Adediran of the Labour Party, and is considered one of the leading candidates for the election.
