Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that investments in the state will create jobs for more than a million young people in the next three to four years.
He said that by giving more than two million young people jobs in different fields in the next few years, the state will become the “leading economy” in the country.
The chief minister also asked the manufacturing companies that were investing in the state to work on improving the skills of young people in the state and to open new units in the state so that they could grow.
At the last event of the two-day “Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav,” the chief minister said that his government will start a programme called “One Family, One ID Card,” which will map every family in the state.
“With this, we’ll be able to tell with one click which government programme and job hasn’t been given to which family, and it will be given to them.
“The government has begun to work in this direction,” Adityanath said. In the last six years, the PM Skill Development Mission and the UP Skill Development Mission have helped nearly 16 lakh young people learn new skills.
The chief minister said that he had told all companies to connect with different institutions and help young people learn new skills.
Rajnath Singh, an MP from Lucknow and the Defense Minister, started the Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav. It was put on by the National Skill Development Corporations and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
During the event, different companies screened young people for jobs. A BJP leader in Lucknow Mahanagar said that Singh’s son Neeraj and BJP leader Neeraj worked together to plan the event.
