According to Nicola Sturgeon , politicians at Westminster are resisting calls for a second Scottish independence referendum because they are worried about the results. The Scottish First Minister made her remarks the day after the Supreme Court ruled that without Westminster’s agreement, the Scottish Parliament lacks the authority to pass laws requiring a vote on independence.
Ms. Sturgeon insisted, while speaking at First Minister’s Questions in Holyrood, “Unionist Westminster politicians want to silence Scotland’s voice because they are scared of what Scotland might say. It is quite simple.”
