Honoring Sacrifice and Modernizing Law Enforcement: Pakistan’s Interior Minister’s Visit to Police Line Headquarters

Pay Tribute to the Fallen Heroes
In an effort to appreciate and honor the sacrifices of those who serve to maintain law and order in the country, Pakistan’s Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfarz Bugti recently visited the Police Line Headquarters in Islamabad. Bugti was accompanied by dignitaries such as Secretary Interior Aftab Durrani and ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. They collectively paid respects to the police officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
At the monument dedicated to these martyrs, Bugti laid a wreath and offered prayers. He emphasized the invaluable contribution of these officers to the nation, stating that their sacrifices were made for the prosperous future of the country.
Inauguration of Women’s Driving Center and Tour of the Central Police Office
During his visit, Bugti also inaugurated a women’s driving center, reflecting the government’s commitment to promote gender equality and empower women. In addition, he toured the central police office to gain a firsthand understanding of the operations and challenges of the capital police.

Commendable Efforts Against Drug Trafficking and Smuggling
Bugti was briefed on the ongoing campaign against drug trafficking and smuggling led by the capital police. The campaign has reportedly resulted in a noticeable decrease in crime rates. The minister praised the police for their efforts in maintaining law and order in the federal capital.
Modernizing Law Enforcement
Recognizing the importance of modern techniques and devices in effective law enforcement, Bugti announced plans to equip the police with such tools to further enhance crime control. He encouraged the officers to work with dedication and commitment, to interact amicably with citizens, and to prioritize resolving their issues.
