To exchange knowledge between the two nations in this area, the Danish Embassy in Hanoi hosted a workshop on November 25 on organic production, certification, and management of organic products.
The workshop supports Vietnam’s attempts to shift agriculture and food in a green and sustainable direction and is a part of a long-term cooperation program between the two nations.
Speaking at the event, Danish Ambassador Nicolai Prytz noted that one factor contributing to Denmark’s success in the organic food sector is the fact that the country not only views the issue as a political priority but also encourages cooperation between all parties involved in the value chain on the basis of trust and long-term commitments.
He noted that the workshop is an excellent chance to establish the right conditions for leaders, managers, experts, researchers, and businesses from Vietnam and Denmark to keep improving their exchange of information and experience in organic production and management.
Denmark is one of the top producers of organic food and agriculture in the world, and it was the first nation to enact the Act on Organic Farming in 1987.
