Punjab Government and Tehreek-e-Insaf agree on cooperation with police for execution of warrants

The caretaker Punjab government has reached an agreement with Tehreek-e-Insaf in which the latter will cooperate with the police for the execution of warrants and search warrants. The agreement was announced to be submitted to the Lahore High Court at 3 o’clock.

As per the agreement, Tehreek-e-Insaf will aid the police in executing warrants and search warrants, and will cooperate in the investigation of cases registered on March 14 and 15. SSP Imran Kishor will act as the focal person from the police side, while Shibli Faraz and Ali Khan will be the focal persons from the Tehreek-e-Insaf side.

The Lahore High Court had previously highlighted that the issue arose due to non-compliance with the warrant, and urged the involved parties to work together to resolve the matter, without indulging in political revenge.
