The Mobility and Infrastructure Plan for All in the Walloon region of Belgium, scheduled for 2020-2026, has experienced delays, with approximately 300 projects affected as of December 15. The leader of the MR group in the Walloon parliament, Jean-Paul Wahl, expressed frustration over the lack of progress, criticizing both the administrative structure and the responsible minister. Wahl called for a proactive approach to resolve the stagnation.

In response, Minister Philippe Henry acknowledged the need for improvement in the state of the road network. He proposed the introduction of a recurring budget specifically for network maintenance, separate from the existing investment plan. Minister Henry emphasized that there is no intention to cancel or postpone projects and that efforts are being made to accelerate their completion. He acknowledged the complexity of the legislative environment, which may have contributed to the delays.

The concerns raised by members of the MR and Les Engagés parties prompted the Walloon government to consider the introduction of a recurring budget for road network maintenance. This additional budget is expected to address the delays and aim to improve the overall condition of the roads in the region
