With the presence of the Minister of Science, Daniel Filmus, the observatory of the QUBIC project, which will search for the origin of the universe from the Salta highlands, was inaugurated.

The QUBIC project is a precision instrument launched to measure signals from the cosmos to provide knowledge about the origin of the universe as part of an extensive international scientific collaboration.

The telescope, developed by scientific teams from Italy, France, and other countries, was assembled by researchers from the Northwest regional office of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) in the city of Salta.

The ascent of the party to the telescope site included scientific representatives from the European countries that are part of the Q&U Bolometric Interferometer for Cosmology (Qubic) initiative.

Medical personnel with oxygen tubes had to assist several occasions the participants of the event affected by the lack of air.
