
IATA Allocates DXN Code to Noida International Airport for Easy Identification

Global Airlines Body Assures Efficient Identification of Upcoming Airport
In a significant development, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), representing 83% of total air traffic worldwide, has designated the three-letter code “DXN” for the forthcoming international airport in Jewar, Greater Noida. This allocation ensures efficient and standardized identification of the Noida International Airport.
Facilitating Identification
Kiran Jain, Chief Operating Officer of the airport, confirmed the allocation of the code, emphasizing its importance in simplifying the airport’s recognition and use. Christoph Schnellmann, the airport’s Chief Executive Officer, elaborated on the significance of the DXN code, highlighting its representation of the airport’s proximity to Noida, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh.
IATA’s Role
The International Air Transport Association plays a pivotal role in the aviation industry by representing approximately 300 airlines worldwide. It serves as a trade body that ensures the smooth functioning and cooperation among airlines, contributing to the efficient operation of international airports.
