Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to United Nations said, Russia would invite DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova to an informal meeting of UN Security Council on the Arria formula.
Dmitry Polyanskiy announced this on Friday, as the Security Council voted against Daria Morozova speech at the meeting on Ukraine.
Dmitry Polyanskiy wrote, “We will definitely invite her (Daria Morozova ) to the [UN Security] Council for an informal meeting on the Arria formula”.
“Arria-formula” is a freer procedure to convene a meeting, with regards to inviting speakers.
The UN Security Council voted on Friday against the speech of the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova at the meeting on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
During the procedural vote of Morozova’s speech, four countries (Russia, Brazil, Ghana and China) spoke in support of her.
Eight nations (Albania, the UK, Malta, USA, France, Switzerland, Ecuador and Japan) opposed her speech. Three countries (Gabon, Mozambique, UAE) abstained from the voting procedure.
