Such actions are unacceptable, according to Tamas Mentzer, secretary of state for bilateral relations at the Hungarian foreign ministry, who made this statement on Thursday.

Mentzer said, "We oppose what happened." "We appeal on local officials to immediately end the atrocities against Hungarians," the secretary of state wrote in a Facebook post.

We implore Ukraine's national leaders to act quickly to reverse the anti-Hungarian judgments and restore the status quo, Mentzer said. We predict that the Ukrainian government will make every effort to maintain stability in Transcarpathia despite the conflict.

The Secretary of State further claims that the Hungarian government is uncertain of "how anti-Hungarian solutions may aid Ukraine" in its conflict with Russia.

Mentzer pointed out that only Transcarpathia had been subject to ethno-Hungarian despotism up to this point. He asserts that the purpose of the Hungarian government is to prevent "similar anti-Hungarian acts in other places."
