Tragic Loss and Ongoing Search Efforts

According to the rescue sources, the bodies of two girls have been successfully retrieved from the pond. However, the search operation is still underway to locate the missing girls. The victims have been identified as Sohna (10), Dania (5), Robina (5), and Muskaan (6). The community and authorities are deeply saddened by the loss of these young lives and are fervently hoping for the safe recovery of the missing girls.

Prior Incident Highlights Safety Concerns

This tragic incident is not the first of its kind in the region. In February, another distressing incident took place near Dhoro Naro in the Umerkot district, where six individuals drowned when their boat capsized in Kalankar Lake. The group was en route to the Sehar Faquir Shrine to pay their respects when the unfortunate accident occurred. Local police and rescue teams promptly responded to the scene, managing to recover the bodies of three children from the lake.

The safety and well-being of individuals, especially children, around bodies of water should always be a priority. Incidents like these underscore the importance of taking necessary precautions and ensuring that proper safety measures are in place to prevent such devastating accidents from occurring in the future. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may their families find strength during this difficult time.
