Tragedy Strikes as Fire Erupts in Silivrikapı Mahallesi
A devastating fire broke out in a pide shop on Vidin Street in Silivrikapı Mahallesi, Istanbul, yesterday at approximately 02:30. The residents noticed smoke billowing from the ground floor of the 5-story building. They promptly alerted the fire brigade, as well as health and police teams. Firefighters and ambulances rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze.
Efficiently responding to the emergency, the firefighters swiftly intervened in the fire and managed to rescue six employees inside the shop, asleep at the time. However, despite the efforts of the medical teams, it is with great sadness that we report the loss of three lives. Mehmet Erboğa, Beşir Erboğa, and Mehmet Erboğa, who were taken to the hospital following the initial medical intervention, tragically succumbed to the fire. The bodies of these three individuals, who were related, have been transported to their hometown of Mardin for burial.
