Rochdi also drew attention to the dire state of education in Syria, pointing out the devastating consequences of the conflict on an entire generation of children. With teachers leaving the country and families unable to afford education, children are forced into labor to support their families, hindering their access to education and opportunities for a better future. She stressed the importance of addressing these challenges and providing the necessary resources and support to ensure that every child has access to education.

Furthermore, Rochdi highlighted the critical issue of water scarcity in Syria. She emphasized the need to maintain the operation of the Alouk water station, which currently serves as the main source of drinking water for Hasakah and its surrounding areas. The station has faced disruptions due to its control by Turkey and its affiliated opposition factions, impacting approximately one million people. Rochdi called for sustained access to clean water and also emphasized the urgent need to rehabilitate the Ain al-Bayda water pumping station, which supplies water to the city of al-Bab sub-district in northern Aleppo.

In conclusion, Najat Rochdi's impassioned plea for support and lasting solutions in northeast Syria shines a spotlight on the dire situation faced by children in the Hawl and Roj camps. Urgent action is needed to ensure their well-being and future prospects. Additionally, addressing the education crisis and water scarcity in the region is of utmost importance to provide a better quality of life for the affected population.
