Denmark allows video calls in emergency situations. People calling the emergency number can now make video calls to 112 centres in Denmark.
It has also been confirmed that in some cases, the operator who answers the call at the 112 centre can send a text message with a link to the person calling in.
It could be used to demonstrate the condition of an injured person, for example. A video connection allows the caller to be instructed on how to best assist an injured person.
The operator can also use the video to determine the severity of the situation and dispatch the appropriate assistance to the area.
