Czechia, in conjunction with the European Union, transitioned to summer time, also known as daylight saving time, this past Sunday. Clocks were set forward by one hour at 2 a.m. to accommodate the seasonal time change.
Czech Railways issued a warning to passengers, alerting them to potential delays in the scheduled arrival and departure of some express trains due to the time shift. Passengers are advised to plan accordingly and anticipate potential disruptions in their travel plans.
Daylight saving time will come to an end on Sunday, October 29, at which point the clocks will be turned back to standard time. This annual practice aims to make better use of daylight during the longer days of summer, ultimately conserving energy and reducing electricity consumption.
