73 percent increase in the entrance fee to the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul for foreign tourists

Tourists have been given a raise at the entrance to the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul.

The new price was 300 Turkish liras, with a 73% hike, which was made to protect local tourists and consider the foreign exchange difference. For domestic tourists, the price did not change. Entrances for domestic tourists are 50 liras for full tickets and 20 liras for students.
