A massive fire broke out in a multi-story Telangana commercial building fire in Secunderabad, resulting in the death of up to six individuals, including women, due to inhaling heavy smoke. The incident occurred on the fifth level of the Swapnalok Complex at 7:30 p.m. on an alleged short circuit.
Of the 13 people who were trapped, seven were rescued successfully, while the remaining six were unable to survive due to the heavy smoke inhalation. Firefighters, along with DRF and police personnel, were rushed to the scene for rescue operations.
The loss of life has been deeply mourned by G Kishan Reddy, a union minister, who expressed his profound sorrow over the incident’s fatalities.
This tragedy highlights the importance of fire safety and the need to take necessary precautions to avoid such unfortunate events in the future.”
