
Police Officer Killed, Three Injured as Vehicle Plunges into Gorge in Jammu and Kashmir

A Tragic Accident on Chanderkot-Rajgarh Link Road
In a tragic incident on the Chanderkot-Rajgarh link road in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban, a special police officer (SPO) lost his life, while three others, including two police officers and a teacher, sustained injuries when their vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a gorge.
Accident Details
The victims were traveling from Chanderkot to Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, when the accident occurred. The deceased SPO from the Jammu and Kashmir police was identified as Swami Raj. Constable Sewa Singh from Rajgarh, Selection Grade Constable Pervez Ahmed, and teacher Joginder Singh were injured in the accident.
Hospitalization
Following the accident, the injured individuals were rushed to the district hospital in Ramban. Unfortunately, the SPO was declared dead at the hospital. The injured were subsequently referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC) in Jammu, where they are currently receiving treatment.
