Fire Breaks Out in Signature Apartment
The incident occurred at the Signature Apartment in Mukherjee Nagar, where a fire broke out, triggering immediate action from the authorities. The fire department received the distress call at 7.45 pm, prompting the dispatch of 20 fire trucks to the scene to combat the blaze.
Safe Evacuation of All Occupants
Thanks to the prompt response and coordinated efforts of the fire department, all occupants of the building, which primarily housed women, were successfully evacuated. Officials have confirmed that approximately 35 women are safe, and there are no reported injuries or casualties.
Origin of the Fire
Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have originated from the electricity meter board near the building’s staircase. From there, it rapidly spread to the upper floors of the three-storey structure, including a kitchen located on the terrace.
Swift Response and Timely Extinguishment
Images from the site captured the intensity of the fire, with smoke and flames visible on the ground floor. Fortunately, the diligent efforts of the firefighting teams led to the complete extinguishment of the fire.
