NMRC to Commence Passenger Services at 6 am to Accommodate UPSC Exam Candidates
The Noida-Greater Noida Metro is set to begin passenger services at an earlier time of 6 am on Sunday, instead of the usual 8 am, in order to facilitate candidates appearing for the civil services preliminary examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on May 28. This decision aims to provide convenient transportation options for aspirants traveling to their examination centers.
Ritu Maheshwari, the Managing Director of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), stated that the passenger carriage services will commence at 6 am at an interval of 15 minutes on May 28, specifically to assist civil services, and exam aspirants. Metro train services will initiate from both terminal stations, including the Depot in Greater Noida and Sector 51 in Noida, as well as Sector 142 and Sector 144 on the Aqua Line. The service will continue to operate normally after the morning examination hours, ensuring regular transportation for all commuters.

In accordance with the UPSC’s notification issued on May 8, entry into the examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the exam. For the forenoon session, the entry will close at 9:20 am, and for the afternoon session, it will close at 2:20 pm. After these designated times, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination venue. The strict time regulations emphasize the importance of punctuality and adherence to the examination guidelines.
