Kyiv repels renewed missile attack, military officials say

Ukraine's air defense systems intercepted 15 cruise missiles and 18 drones, according to military officials in Kyiv.

General Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration, reported the destruction of approximately 30 hostile objects.

Following the attack on Kyiv, tensions continue to escalate in the region as a Russian-installed official in Donetsk reports at least three fatalities and four injuries, including a young three-year-old girl.

The official, Denis Pushilin, condemned what he described as deliberate strikes by the armed forces of Ukraine on peaceful areas of Makeevka.

MLRS and Caliber of 152 and 155mm

The use of munitions, including multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and artillery with a caliber of 152 and 155mm, has resulted in significant destruction of residential and social facilities.

The decision comes after three people tragically lost their lives when they were unable to access a shelter during the attacks.

President Zelensky directed Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin to conduct a comprehensive audit of defense structures in Kyiv, including air defense systems and the front lines.
