The Kabul Municipality has announced the laying of the foundation stone on Tuesday for the construction of a new minaret at Pul-e-Sorkh Square in Kabul city. The minaret, which will replicate the historical Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi's minaret in Ghazni province, will stand 13 meters tall.

Qari Wali Gul Jawad, the head of cultural affairs of the Kabul Municipality, stated that the construction project for a new minaret was part of a broader beautification program that aimed to preserve the historical and national values of the city.

The Afghan Wireless Communication Company Funds the Project

The project is being funded by the Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC), whose Deputy Mohammad Sulaiman Khuram confirmed that the minaret would be built using the old architectural style and better quality construction methods. He also expressed the company's commitment to continuing their support for the project in collaboration with government institutions.
