Qin Opera Artists Illuminate Gansu Province
Notable artists of the Qin opera gathered in the Anding District of Dingxi City, Gansu Province for a series of spectacular performances. The event assembled artists from Shaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia provinces to showcase their exceptional talent and further promote the traditional Chinese opera, specifically the Qin opera.
Among the artists who graced the event was Dou Fengqin, a revered national first-class actor and recipient of the Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Drama. On September 24, she mesmerized the audience with a performance of the traditional Qin opera classic “Da Deng Dian” at the Dingxi City Sports Park.
Similarly, Li Xiaoxiong and Wei Xiaobing, both national first-class actors and Plum Blossom Award recipients from the Ningxia Qin Opera Theatre, captivated spectators with their performances of Qin opera classics “Jin Sha Tan” and “Xia He Dong” on September 21 and September 23 respectively.
Spotlight on Gansu Tie Tang Qin Opera Art Theatre
In addition to these renowned artists, actors from the Gansu Tie Tang Qin Opera Art Theatre also commanded the stage. On September 22, actor Li Kai enthralled the crowd with a performance of the Qin opera classic “Zha Mei An.”
Over the course of several days, the Anding District of Dingxi City in Gansu Province transformed into a hub for Qin opera. Artists from the three provinces, including members of professional art troupes, drama academies, and the Qin Opera Art Alliance, put on multiple performances, creating a feast for the senses for opera fans.
