Fire Tragedy in South Tehran: Two Afghan Citizens Killed
A Brutal Crime in Qavam al-Dawla Neighborhood
In a shocking incident that has shaken the citizens of Tehran, two Afghan men were set ablaze by another Afghan, resulting in their untimely demise. The gruesome event took place on Sunday morning in the Qavam al-Dawla neighborhood, located in south Tehran.
The suspect, also an Afghan citizen, was subsequently apprehended by the Iranian police following his heinous act. The incident has ignited a wave of fear and despair among the Afghan community residing in Iran.
The Act of Setting Ablaze
Reports suggest that the perpetrator gained access to the second floor of a house where nine men were in a deep slumber. He doused them with gasoline before setting them on fire. The assailant suffered burns during his attempt to escape the scene, leading to his capture.
Unveiling The Motive Behind The Act
Upon interrogation, the suspect revealed that he had migrated from Afghanistan to Iran some time ago and had been working in the country since then. Interestingly, he had been evicted from the same house where he committed the crime, after residing there for three days. His brother, who had been working with some of the victims in grocery stores, was fired due to disagreements. This seems to have fueled the suspect’s grudge against the nine men.
Victims’ Condition and Ongoing Investigation
The remaining seven victims are reportedly in a critical condition. The bodies of the deceased have been moved for further forensic examination. The suspect has been handed over to the tenth department of the police for further investigation into the undisclosed aspects of the case. There are numerous aspects of this case that are yet to be uncovered, and the police are working tirelessly to ensure justice is served.
The incident has not only claimed two innocent lives but also left a deep impact on the Afghan community living in Iran. It has raised questions about their safety and the measures taken to ensure their protection. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the violence that can stem from personal grudges and the extent to which individuals can go to exact revenge.
