The economy should grow at least 3.5% through 2024, says the Mexican president

Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the President of Mexico said that his nation’s economy would grow by 3.5% over 2022, 2023, and 2024. He said this on Sunday while addressing a huge gathering of people in Mexico City to mark his fourth year in office.
An economic slowdown, mainly in the industrial sector, affected Mexico’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth and kept it slightly below estimates during the third quarter of 2022. President said, “The economy will increase by 3.5% this year and, I estimate, by that same percentage at least for 2023 and 2024”.
Analysts predicted that GDP would grow by 2.7% this year, while the International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Mexico’s growth to be slow at 1.2% next year.
