The Administration of Sea Ports in Ukraine has confirmed that the Odessa port will receive specialized equipment as a donation to address environmental issues.
The donation comes after an agreement was signed between the administration and the European Agency for Navigational Safety.
The equipment will enable Ukraine to eliminate pollution in the waters of seaports and will be a significant step towards strengthening their means to respond to pollution in the Black Sea. Deputy Head of the Sea Ports Administration in Ukraine, Andrei Kreytor, expressed his appreciation for the donation, stating that the equipment would be instrumental in upgrading and strengthening their response capabilities.
The Director of the European Agency for the Safety of Navigation, Maia Markovchich Kostelac, spoke about the donation, emphasizing the need for enhanced cooperation between Ukrainian port workers and the agency. She expressed her hopes that the donation would further strengthen the cooperation between the two parties in addressing environmental issues in seaports.
