The DSS has arrested members of organized syndicates involved in selling newly redesigned naira notes, with the help of some commercial bank officials.
The moves comes after DSS warns the currency racketeers to stop their illegal activities and urges regulatory authorities to monitor and address the trend of selling the new Naira notes.
The DSS has ordered its commands to identify all groups involved in the illegal sale of the notes and encourages the public to provide information to relevant authorities.
However, BNNNigeria confirmed in a reports on Sunday that the CBN has extended the deadline for swapping old naira notes for the new designs by 10 days, after facing complaints from Nigerians about the inability to swap.
