Ritualist Kills 7-year-old Girl In Ogun Community

Residents of Kilani street, Iyana Iyesi in Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, have confirmed the killing of a 7-year-old girl by a ritualist in the area yesterday.

The teenager was sent on an errand to a house by her mother’s neighbor. On getting to the house, she was struck on the head with a pestle by the ritualist who had hidden behind the door. Her shout alerted neighbors, who met her dead on arrival, to rescue her.

According to an eyewitness, “When we searched further, we discovered that the man had charms and a goat hidden in an empty building close to his victim’s house. When we got there, we saw the charm and a goat. The goat attacked one of us, but it was later killed. This is a sad occurrence.”

The ritualist was said to have been hibernating in an uncompleted building close to the victim’s house. The Ogun State Police Command is yet to issue a statement on the incident.
