Mistaken Identity Leads to Tragic Outcome A man lost his life in the Borivali East area of Mumbai early Thursday morning when he was assaulted by a mob that mistakenly believed he was a thief. The incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about mob violence and vigilantism.

Rescue Efforts and Hospitalization

Police officials were alerted to the situation and managed to rescue the victim, identified as Pravin Lahane, from the violent mob. They promptly took him to the Kasturba Marg police station and then transferred him to a nearby hospital for medical attention. After receiving preliminary treatment, Lahane was discharged from the hospital and returned to the police station.

Tragic Turn of Events

Unfortunately, Lahane’s condition deteriorated after his discharge from the hospital. He experienced uneasiness and was immediately rushed back to the same hospital.
