Kibuku cleric and wife arrested for defiling and impregnating student 

Police detained a reverend and his wife in Kibuku District, eastern Uganda, as their son reportedly defiled and impregnated a 15-year-old.

On Tuesday, the reverend from the Bukedi diocese was apprehended near Kibuku central police station, where he had gone to report the girl’s worsening health condition.
Ms. Immaculate Alaso, the Bukedi North region police spokesman, stated that the pair were arrested to investigate.

According to the police publicist, the victim, a #Kibuku secondary school student and inhabitant of Namawondo 1 B Zone in Kibuku town council, was subsequently transferred to a hospital for treatment.

She claimed the teen vanished from her parent’s home in September of this year before her father learned weeks later that she was at the cleric’s residence.
