Marseille Shooting Unveils Comorian Connection

The events transpired around at the intersection of Boulevard de la Pomme and Avenue Bernard Lecache, a mere 500 meters away from the Le Miami nightclub. As the victims' vehicle came to a halt, it became the target of a hail of bullets discharged from Kalashnikov rifles. The sequence of events paints a chilling picture: two passengers disembarked from the car for a brief moment, only to be ambushed by one or more assailants who launched a sustained barrage of gunfire upon their return.

Realizing the severity of the attack, the two men rushed back to the vehicle to find their friends grievously wounded. Frantically, they assumed control of the wheel, desperately attempting to transport the injured victims to a nearby hospital. Tragically, their efforts were in vain, as the three young men, all in their twenties, succumbed to their injuries before they could receive medical assistance.

Investigations

In the aftermath of the shooting, the perpetrators fled the scene in their vehicle, which was later discovered burnt in Aubagne. Subsequent investigations have revealed that the victims hail from the city of Félix Pyat, further linking them to the Comorian community.

In response to the event, the police chief of Bouches-du-Rhône, Frédérique Camilleri, arrived at the crime scene. Law enforcement officials collected evidence and analyzed the area for clues. The security perimeter was later lifted, allowing investigators to intensify their efforts to piece together the exact chain of events and apprehend those responsible for this brutal act.
