A prosecutor from the city of Rosario requested that a case in which a man offered his two-month-old daughter in exchange for money in a Facebook group be brought to trial.
The request was made by the prosecutor of the Rosario Prosecutor’s Office No. 3, Martín Gambacorta, to the head of Federal Court No. 3, Carlos Vera Barros, who is handling the case for the alleged crime of attempted suppression of the civil status of a minor.
According to the investigation, the man, identified by his initials, B.M.F., posted an ad on a Facebook group “selling everything for children and babies Rosario”, in which he offered his little daughter in exchange for money.
In this context, he provided the data of his uniform bank password to an interested party, to whom he suggested that he had the child’s registration certificates blank, that is, without filling in the name of her parents, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Based on the evidence collected, the prosecutor requested that the defendant be tried as the perpetrator of the crime of attempted suppression of the civil status of a minor.
