A cash truck robbery in Tijuana left two people injured and one dead

A shooting incident in Cerro Colorado, in the municipality of Tijuana, Baja California, triggered after an attempted robbery by armed men of a cash truck left two people wounded and one dead.

The events occurred outside a Rembao distributor located on Insurgentes Boulevard in the El Lago neighbourhood, near the Macroplaza shopping centre.

The SePro Baja custodians called the emergency number for help, as the assailants had shot at them to get the money they were carrying.

The exchange of fire caused the various people on the street to run for cover from the gunfire. However, one person, presumably a worker of the distribution company, was injured as a collateral victim.

The two guards were wounded, and one of them died after an hour, in addition to the aforementioned civilian. After this, witnesses told the authorities that the perpetrators fled in a dark Chevrolet Impala, the same car in which they had arrived.
