Nicosia: 22-Year-Old Man Arrested for Possession of Guns

In a significant breakthrough, local law enforcement officials apprehended a 22-year-old man in Nicosia on Thursday for the possession of firearms, ammunition, and illegal drugs with the intent to supply.

Acting swiftly on a tip-off, officers intercepted the suspect’s vehicle around 10:30 pm, leading to the discovery of incriminating evidence. The subsequent search of his residence uncovered a cache of illicit items, marking a major blow to the criminal underworld.

Suspect Apprehended with Contraband During Routine Vehicle Inspection

During a routine inspection prompted by credible intelligence, Nicosia police intercepted the car driven by the 22-year-old suspect. With meticulous scrutiny, law enforcement officers unearthed a half-smoked joint, a nylon bag containing 25g of cocaine, a small quantity of cannabis, and €490 in cash.

All the discovered items were promptly seized as crucial evidence, and the suspect was immediately arrested for evident offenses. This initial search shed light on a much larger operation that awaited discovery.

Major Haul Uncovered in Subsequent Home Search
