Temperatures in Japan Remain Freezing Cold

Many areas of the country are still experiencing below-freezing temperatures, and the western and eastern parts of the country are still covered in snow.

Since a strong winter pressure pattern is bringing an influx of cold air, the cold has also brought heavy winds, according to Japan’s Meteorological Agency.

Locals are urged to stay home as heavy snowfall is predicted and expressways have already been closed, which could cause traffic jams.
