Boyfriend Detained and Released, Re-Detained in Ongoing Investigation
Following the incident, Halil İbrahim A. was initially taken into custody and provided a statement claiming that he was indoors at the time of the fall and did not witness it. He was subsequently released. However, he has now been detained again by the police for further questioning. Meanwhile, Tuncel’s father, Salim Tuncel, has been summoned to the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to provide additional information for the ongoing investigation.
Father Accuses Boyfriend of Femicide
Expressing his grief and determination to seek justice, Salim Tuncel, the father of the deceased nurse, has categorically stated that his daughter was the victim of murder, referring to the case as femicide. He declared, “Doctor İbrahim, whom they call her lover, murdered my daughter.”
Overwhelmed with emotion, he explained that he did not witness the incident firsthand but relied on accounts and sensations. Salim Tuncel emphasized his hope for clarity and the appropriate legal actions to be taken.
Salim Tuncel, visibly distraught, entered the courthouse with the support of his relatives. He tearfully shared that his daughter had plans to travel to Niğde to participate in the upcoming elections, stating, “My daughter called me two days before the incident and said, ‘Daddy, I will come to the elections on Sunday.’ Does someone planning to commit suicide talk about coming to the elections? It’s inconceivable.”
