70 foreigners tried to illegally enter Poland through the border with Belarus on Friday, the Border Guard said in a report from the past 24 hours.

“The detained foreigners said they were assisted in the illegal border crossing by Belarusian soldiers,” the Border Guard reported Saturday morning on Twitter.

Border Guard data shows that a total of nearly 2,000 attempts to illegally cross the border from Belarus into Poland have been recorded since the beginning of November. In October, there were more than 2500 such attempts. In total, there have been more than 13,500 attempts since the beginning of the year.
