The fire incident, which took place in Mouraria, Lisbon on Saturday night, has caused widespread devastation, resulting in two fatalities and several people being injured.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the Judiciary Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Lisbon, 14 people have been reported injured, including four children. Out of the 14 injured individuals, 11 of them are reported to be from India, while the remaining two are Argentine nationals.
The director of the Municipal Civil Protection Service, Margarida Castro, has confirmed that 20 people have been displaced as a result of the fire, while the majority of the injured are foreigners.
One Portuguese individual has also suffered collateral damage as a result of the fire, as he was not present in the building when the fire broke out.
