One died after a suspicious car fire incident reported in Burlington

According to Halton police, a person has died after a suspicious car fire in Burlington early Sunday morning.

At around 3:30 am the police and fire services responded to a vehicle fire call in the area of Dundas Street W. and Tremaine Road. The emergency crews found a body of a person in the vehicle.

“The circumstances are suspicious and the Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation,” Halton Regional Police Services said on Sunday.

However, the person is yet to be identified, police said. They added that the vehicle will be taken to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for further examination.
