A shocking stabbing incident took place in Delft on Sunday, resulting in one fatality and two serious injuries. The incident occurred at Frederik van Eedenlaan, where police arrived to find three victims, one in the street, another in a front garden, and the third in a home.
According to eyewitnesses, the victims were believed to be from the same family. The police have arrested a suspect and are actively investigating the cause of the stabbing.
Two trauma helicopters were deployed in addition to several ambulances, indicating the severity of the injuries sustained by the victims.
The police have set up barriers in the area, shielding the scene of the crime from public view as they gather evidence. At this time, the police are unable to provide further details about the incident.
Neighbours of the victims have expressed their shock and grief over the loss of their friend, describing the victim as a very nice person who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
The area where the incident took place, Voorhof district, has a history of unrest, with shared scooter providers banning parking in the area after a series of arson attacks in October.
