Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, is en route to Islamabad to appear before the Additional District and Session Court in the Toshakhana case following the approval of protective bail from IHC. However, on the way, a vehicle in his convoy overturned due to a tire burst in the Kaler Kahar Salt Range of Chakwal district, causing several other vehicles to collide. The accident resulted in approximately 15 PTI workers sustaining injuries.
After the accident, Imran Khan stopped the convoy and personally checked on the injured workers. He instructed party leaders to take care of the injured and then resumed his journey to Islamabad. He also urged the workers and leaders to be cautious while travelling.
The Toshakhana case involves charges of alleged misuse of vehicles gifted to Pakistan by foreign countries during Imran Khan’s tenure as the country’s prime minister. The appearance before the court is an important event for Imran Khan, and the accident en route is an unfortunate incident.
